BIOs
Elevator Pitch
Elegant and whip-smart, performing artist Hannah Judson fuses Americana, folk-rock and wisps of jazz to construct narratives that hover between real and surreal. Text and projected image create a suspended space where lyrics of universal truths are distilled into crystalline gemstones, reminiscent of experimental artist Laurie Anderson and songwriter Norah Jones.
Short
Guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and performing artist, Hannah Judson tours internationally, and has shared the stage with many notable musicians including The Kennedys, Lola Lennox, Freda Love Smith, Miss Baby Sol, Rachael Sage, Gaelle Buswel, Suzahn Fiering, and Cindy Shapiro. Hannah has contributed tracks to indie films like The Bench (Ivy Bona) and Sophia’s Violin (David Smith). She wrote the score for an experimental performance based on Tim Burton’s work, “Pièces Rares du Cabinet de Curiosité du Docteur Loyali Les Enfants de Tim B" (Guerin and Bursztynowicz), and also performed as a member of Lacuna Echo, an experimental multi-media performance. She signed with Boneyard Records in Sacramento CA in 2018.

Hannah Judson is an internationally touring American singer-songwriter based between Paris France and the US. She performs original works that draw her audience into storylines of political, social and personal power, love and loss. She plays with electric and acoustic guitars creating live looping harmonies and percussion, Hannah’s vocals co-mingle and ring out and intimate set, with a modern folk sound reminiscent of Cat Power, Lucinda Williams and Elliott Smith. Her most recent compositions begin to reveal an interest in jazz theory and history. Noted as “the real deal” by UK’s country music Maverick Magazine, and “with a style that channels Elliott Smith” by Indie Country fm radio, Hannah has appeared regularly in Paris, throughout Europe and the US west coast. She is currently releasing her next album first with a series of singles through 2022 with an album release scheduled for 2023 (Boneyard Records).
